Humana People to People is a non-profit association bringing people from Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America together, to work in the field of international solidarity and cooperation.
Nowadays, only 6% of the total population in Mozambique has access to the electricity grid. This means that 19.7 million people are unable to benefit from the social, economic and educational improvements achieved from electricity. In Changalane, there is currently no electrical infrastructure. The locals use kerosene lamps and burn wood. Consequently, there is a real need to introduce new off-grid electric lighting sources like solar lamps, which will make it possible to improve economic, environmental and human security.
